Here's Why the Aston Martin DB7 Is a Bargain V12 Exotic Car

411 741 Megtekintés

The Aston Martin DB7 is a bargain exotic car -- especially with V12 power. This DB7 is a special, enthralling car, and today I'm reviewing the DB7. I'm going to take you on a thorough tour of the DB7, and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of the Aston DB7 -- and then I'll drive it and show you what it's like on the road.

  • *12 second light* unusual, strange, why did they do that? Aston Martin: 12 seconds is the time we give the driver light at night so that you stick the key into the keyhole. Genius

  • An ill-conceived car, but still impressive. 😐🙂 This is a pristine low-mileage example. Back seats are for insurance reasons because the car qualifies as a 2+2, rather than a two seater sports car, which would be more expensive to insure.

  • In my honest opinion it has a bitter taste, when some selected cars of his auction-business get a review; what without a doubt will support the auction and support a much higher price, while other sellers don't get that kind of help. If I would be a seller - who's car does not get that video review support - I would feel pi$$ed. Just my point of view.

  • My lord Doug it’s a service vehicle that is designed with a secondary set of wheels specifically installed to drive onto train tracks.. “CSX” package in Maryland I’m not sure what it’s called throughout the globe.. and your a real car guy so if you’ve ever shipped any vehicles or loaded them onto a “Hoegh” auto liner you would’ve seen them regularly.. sometimes I swear you seem to have never left the house as a kid.. and that has raised a fine young man reminiscent of a forgotten “old money” discernment!!.. keep on truckin’ ✨🧑🏾‍🚀✨

  • Just a little heads up: the flashing radio light means that if the radio loses power, a code has to be entered in order for it to work again. The Aston light means that the immobilizer/alarm is active. So another words, those two lights actually have different meanings.

  • This Aston has so much in common with my Jaguar XKR. I'm going to list make a list: Door mirrors Key blade Handbrake/parking brake Sun Visors Ignition switch Wiper Stalk Turn Signal Stalk Arm-rest Culp Holders (worst cup holder's ever, it is more efficient and comes off as less of a surprise to your passengers to immediately dump your drink directly on their lap or the back seat. The cup will fly off of the cup holder at acceleration or turn of above 0.2g.) Window Switches Chassis underpinings/origins (my Jag's chassis is more modern, updated, and advanced than the DB7's) The floor mats seem to have the same shape but I'm not 100% certain on this, but I think the floor pan is shared, so they very well could be interchangeable. Seat belt buckles look the same and probably are. The trunk lid mounted third brake light assembly is the same as in convertible XK8s and XKRs. And no Doug, Aston didn't come up with that design. It was originally a Jaguar design, XJ41-coupe and XJ42-convertible prototypes) that Ford shelved because the project had grown too expensive and deviated from its original vision. Then Aston picked it up, essentially only changing the front bumper, tail lights, and some other small details such as reflectors, door handles, mirrors, etc. The XJ41 and XJ42 were going to be the original F-type way back in the 90s.

    • @Lostkaiser All those "bargain" cars are horrible to begin with. People think those are easy money, like buying a 2nd hand Stone Island jacket. But what they totally forgett is the horrendous maintenance cost. Remember that RS7 video? I laughed my ass off when I read that title.

  • My Astons dome light timer goes up to 13! Behind the fake glove box panel is possibly the toilet roll dispenser from the port-a-loo that they took that particular panel from, it's a 1983 PORTAKABIN DABLAV which for me was one of the finest ever!

  • My 2003 Honda Odyssey has 3 flashing alarm lights. Honda Odyssey > Aston Martin DB7 V12 Yes, as a long time Doug viewer, I understand the irony in in that statement

  • Those keys are Ford keys..usually those were hexagonal.

  • The part of the key you stick in keyhole is actually from Ford too, as well as door lock. I had various fords here in europe including fiesta, escort and scorpio, and they all have exactly the same key design and look

  • To be ridiculously pedantic..... Those exposed screws on the door cill plaque aren't phillips screws, they're pozi screws If you don't know the difference, and you're the sort of person that actually uses a screwdriver regularly, you should learn the difference, it will save you a whole lot of headaches with stripped out screw heads.
